How To Use A Yak Stick

Our nutritional Yak Stick is not a meal substitute. For its optimal consumption, enjoyment and duration we will allow our dog to chew on our Yak Stick for a while (depending on your dog’s voracity) after which we will take it away until next time.

With a gradual dosage, your Yak Stick will last for days or even weeks and your dog will appreciate it as a snack.

As in all cases where your dog chews on something, it is recommended to supervise your dog while chewing the Yak Stick.

In case your dog swallows a piece of the Yak Stick, you should not panic since it is 100% digestible and it does not harm your dog’s digestive system.

What size should my dog have?

It is important to follow our size guide. You should buy the correct size Yak Stick based your dog’s weight.

From what age can a dog have a Yak Stick?

We recommend a dog should be at least 9 months old or have their adult teeth before they have a Yak Stick?

How long should I let my dog chew on a Yak Stick?

This does depend on your dog. We recommend dogs should chew on a Yak Stick for no more than 15 to 25 minutes at any one time.

What is the best way to store a Yak Stick?

To preserve freshness, you should store the Yak Stick in a cool, dry place. If you have an airtight container, this would be best.

What are the ingredients of a Yak Stick?

Yak Sticks contain only three ingredients. Pure cows milk, fresh lime juice and a tiny pinch of salt.

Salt in large amounts is harmful for dogs as it is for humans. However, in our Yak Sticks, we only use a tiny amount of salt along with lime juice to get the cheese to coagulate (harden) at the very start of the process.

The salt content in our sticks is less than 0.1%.
